Chainalysis Reactor Certification (Virtual)

The Chainalysis Reactor Certification (CRC) provides practitioners with the knowledge and skills to analyze and trace transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain. This comprehensive training using Reactor, the tool of choice for investigators, compliance officers, analysts, and regulators, can be provided live virtually by our product and industry expert Training Specialists (other delivery options may be available for private groups).

Course Agenda

  • Review of Introductory Training

    Bitcoin Transactions & Chainalysis, Reactor Fundamentals and Building graphs.

  • Analytical Techniques 1

    Peel Chain Analysis, Identification Strategies and Identifying mixers.

  • Analytical Techniques 2

    Isolating Deposit Addresses, Transaction Analysis & Cluster Merges and Identifying transactions of interest.

  • CRC Review and Exam

    An open book exam with 100 Multiple choice questions in 2.5 hours. Passing score of 75% or better.

Prerequisites:

  • Crypto Essentials or a basic understanding of Bitcoin transactions
  • Reactor Essentials training and/or active Reactor usage

Access to Crypto Essentials and Reactor Essentials Training (and much more) is available on demand via Chainalysis Academy, our self paced learning portal available to Chainalysis Reactor customers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand bitcoin transaction fundamentals
  • Conduct transaction analysis
  • Evaluate different categories of actors in the bitcoin ecosystem
  • Apply techniques to identify services on the Blockchain
  • Leverage open source intelligence (OSINT)
  • Trace source and destination of funds

Upon completion, practitioners will be able to apply practical techniques to derive actionable intelligence from the blockchain using Chainalysis Reactor.

The CRC credential expires after one year. Active Reactor license holders are also provided free access to the CRC Refresher course and exam to renew their credential via Chainalysis Academy. Individuals without an active Reactor license may refresh their credential by attending another CRC training.
